It depends on which kind of info you are looking for: each Forum has a description of
subjects treated in it, this description helps you to find the right one, which is
important to get the right answers.
I may post in Forums even if I'm not registered?
We think Vagabondo is by now the only portal for travellers wher even non-registered
visitors may write on the Forums. Other portals policy is to urge people to register,
for marketing purposes.
But we don't, on principle! We wish that everybody may write on our Forums and it'll
never be compulsory to register!
Why then register?
There are useful instruments that is technically possible to use only if the system is
up to recognize youi:
To consent to other registered persons to answer you also privately, employing Vagabonds
Finder, without you needing to put your e-mail in the Forum.
He/she who reads your messages may so know which kind are your travels (it'sufficient to
click on your name) and answer you consequently, and you need not write it again
everytime.
You may change your messages if you realise you've not been clear enough or you haven't
said all you meant to.
You may know how many messages have been added after your last visit.
The more registered members Vagabondo has the more it's important: members registering
is relevant for us.
Finally, when we'll conclude our project "Travelmate" there
will be one more very mighty instrument at registered members disposition...
How do I write a new post?
First you must get into a forum, choosing the one best suiting your message; then click
on the button with paper and pencil in little bear's arms.
If i don't need to be registered why i'm asked to give a password?
Password is not compulsory: if you are registered you write it, if not leave it blank and
the message will be taken as well!
How do I answer to a message?
if you are in a Forum homepage first of all you should click on the titele of the message
you are interested in to open it. Then click on the button with paper and arrow.
How can I know if anyone answered me?
Go to the Forum where you wrote your message, find it and look in the column on the
right: there you'll find the number of answers and the author and date of the last
one. The more recent the last answer, the higher in the page you'll find your message.
To read a message and its answers click on the title of the message and a window will
open containing your message and the answers.
How works the searching?
You accede to the searching engine by clicking on the lens in little bear's arms. The
searching is by title and name of the author (it's impossible to search inside the
messages, this'd be to heavy for our server) Then you may choose to limit the search
in one Forum only or to look in all of them, and choose how many days back the search
must go.
May I answer a post by e-mail?
Yes, if both you ad the author of the post are registered members of vagabonds Finder!
in that case it's sufficientto click on the envelope icon. If you are not, you must
answer on the Forum.
Help! I don't find the post I wrote any more!
You're probably looking for your message for dates, but it gets updated everytime someone
answers to you (we made it so, so that the more interesting messages always are in
pole position!)
Look among the more recent posts, or make a search with the forum searching engine.
Why don't I find any more the button to write a new post?
To write a new message you must be in the homepage of one of the Forums,: if the button
doesn0t appear it's probably because you are in the general Forums homepage or in
the page of searching results.
Click on the button with the little cave (all Forums index), then choose the forum more
suitable to your message on the list that will appear.
I have one more question...
Poor me, i thought I had said all...
If you still have somethig to ask don't hesitate to write to
, we will answer very soon and, if the answer may interest more people we'll publish
it on Forum Vagabondo Answers
